Arsenal Ploting Summer Move For World-Cup Winner Defender

Arsenal have reportedly joined the transfer race for Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng.

The 28-year-old defender has seriously struggled for fitness this term and hosts of Premier League teams keeping tabs on his signature.

World cup winner defender has made only 11 appearances in the German top-tier due to various injury problems.

According to TMW, the 28-year-old defender has requested a meeting with the Bayern board to clarify his future.

And they claim that the Gunners are monitoring his situation ahead possible move in the summer.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side are likely to face familiar competition if they decide to pursue a move for German star, who has won 67 caps for his national team.

Arsenal bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been selected as the frontrunners to secure the signature of one of the best players.

Boateng still has four years left to run on his Bayern Munich deal.

He signed for the German giants back in 2011 after one underwhelming season in England with Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly preparing a fresh bid for African forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer as Alexis Sanchez’s future remains up in the air.

The Chile international forward’s contract expires in just over a year’s time, and hosts of Europe’s big names are interested in the signing of Copa America Winner.

Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG have been frontrunners to secure the services of Arsenal’s no.7.

The Gunners do not want to sell Sanchez, however, have decided should they cash in on the goal scorer but it will happen in the foreign club.
