Wilshere coy on Gunners future

Jack Wilshere says he is not thinking about his future at Arsenal and is focused on keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Wilshere joined the Cherries on a season-long loan deal at the start of the season in order to get his career back on track following a number of injuries that kept him out of the Gunners side.

So far so good, as Wilshere has stayed injury free, and with regular football under his belt, has shown glimpses of getting back to his best.

However it has been a difficult season for the Cherries, who despite having Wilshere in the side, have flirted with relegation, and the midfielder says keeping Eddie Howe's side in the top flight is the only thing dominating his thoughts right now.

"I'm not thinking about it," Wilshere said when quizzed about his future. "I've got a year left at Arsenal. As soon as the season ends, I'll sit down and I'll think about it.

"But my main concern at the moment is trying to keep Bournemouth in this league. No matter what happens next year – if I'm here, if I'm not, if I'm at Arsenal, whatever – you know no-one wants a relegation next to their name.

"You don't want to be involved in a team that got relegated so that's what we' re doing now, trying to put Bournemouth in a good position. At the end of the season I'll have a think about it."
