Liverpool vs Arsenal: Starting XI – Giroud, Perez and Monreal Dropped!

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.

Mohamed Elneny will be out for around three weeks with an ankle injury picked up in the 2-0 win over Sutton United in the FA Cup, but Arsene Wenger hopes that Mesut Ozil will be okay to face Liverpool having suffered with illness earlier this week.

The Arsenal boss will also have Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud available for the trip to Anfield, with the trio returning to full training this week.

Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi and Koscielny all look likely starters in defence, then, with Kieran Gibbs possibly edging out Nacho Monreal for the left-back berth. Francis Coquelin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may combine in central midfield, although Granit Xhaka and Ramsey provide alternative options.

Alex Iwobi, Ozil and Theo Walcott could form the attacking midfield trio behind lone striker Alexis Sanchez, although Wenger has a wealth of other options to consider, including Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Lucas Perez.

Santi Cazorla (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
