Arsenal receive double Boost ahead of Liverpool clash

Arsenal will be able to call upon Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny for Saturday's trip to Liverpool after both returned to training.

Ramsey has been missing for the last four games with a calf problem but is now in contention to line-up for the Gunners at Anfield as is Koscielny, who missed the FA Cup win over Sutton with a thigh injury suffered in the 5-1 defeat at Bayern Munich.

Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck will also be amongst the travelling party having been rested for the FA Cup fifth round tie at Sutton, with boss Arsene Wenger revealing Welbeck is getting closer to starting a Premier League contest after a lengthy lay-off with a knee injury.

Santi Cazorla (Achilles) is a long-term absentee while fellow midfielder Mohamed Elneny (ankle) is expected to be out for three weeks.

The Gunners head into Saturday's clash a point ahead of Liverpool in fourth with both teams looking out of the title race given Chelsea's 13-point advantage over the north Londoners.

However, Wenger is not writing off Arsenal's chance just yet, claiming there is still hope if they can rediscover a winning formula.

"We have to focus on our next game," said Wenger. "We have a game in hand, things can change quickly. To do a thing like that, you need exceptional rhythm in your results and as well Chelsea to fade.

"At the moment I think it’s more important that we focus on winning our games and focus on our next game rather than dreaming about coming back to Chelsea."
