12-goals forward confirms his dream to join Arsenal
According to the talented Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru, he dreams of joining Arsenal one day and is confident he can fulfill his dream in future.
The 19-year-old Onyekuru has managed to score 12 goals in 23 matches for Eupen this season and it’s clear the highly-regarded forward is angling for a transfer away.
The teenage rising star has confirmed that he will not be leaving Eupen in the January transfer window but also admitted that he’s planning a move in the Premier League in the near future.
On Wilfred Ndidi’s potential move to Leicester City, Onyekuru said: ‘I’d like to go to England. Ndidi is my example, we are from the same region in Nigeria.
‘I would rather go to Arsenal. I know there are many scouts who follow me but I remain calm.’
The talented striker also admitted that his his idol while growing up was Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Onyekuru said: ‘I hope to find myself one day in a top club in Europe and to play for my national team. The shirt I dream of wearing is Arsenal’s because I’ve always had Thierry Henry as a role model since I was little.’
