Arsenal Trending Now: Deal Close, €50m For Spanish Full-back, Transfer Boost

Arsene Wenger Lining Up €50m For Move For Highly-Demanded La Liga Star

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is chasing a new left-back to replace Spain international defender Nacho Monreal and reportedly targeting €50m-rated Valencia’s promising ace Jose Gaya.

Arsene Wenger has been a huge fan of 21-year-old defender and hopes to make him as the first January signing.

It is a deal which is being lined up for the upcoming transfer window in order to remain in the race for the Premier League title.

The 21-year-old full-back is regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe, Arsenal are keeping tabs and the left-back slot is the one area where they want to strengthen and ready to offer around €50m to lure Spaniard at Emirates Stadium.

Nacho Monreal, who turns 31 in February, is current first choice. The club have yet to offer reserve Kieran Gibbs who has been recently linked with a switch to Crystal Palace and Gaya seems to be an ideal replacement for his signature.

Deal Close: Arsenal's Veteran Star on the Verge to Sign For Ligue 1 Giants

According to the reports from France, Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy has not had an easy time at Emirates Stadium as he has been out of favour at the right-back position and sources close to the club suggest that Frenchman could leave the team in January.

Ligue 1 giants Marseille have been one of the frontrunners for his signature and they are ready to offer and escape route for 31-year-old full-back.

The series of injuries lead to Hector Bellerin being tried out in the position and since then Spaniard has cemented a place in the starting lineup and it is unlikely for Frenchman to return his place.

Debuchy spent the second half of last season out on loan at Bordeaux, and a similar arrangement could be put in place this season too. According to the Mirror, Debuchy will head to Ligue 1 side Marseille in January, once he has recovered from yet another injury issue.

Current Marseille boss Rudi Garcia managed Debuchy at Lille and has been desperate to be reunited with the Experienced full-back.

Arsene Wenger Ruled Out World-Class No.7's Transfer to China After Oscar Agreed £60 Move

Chelsea have completed the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Oscar, who has agreed to make a big money switch to the Chinese club and it the news have been a huge disappointment for the Premier League manager including Arsene Wenger.

Wenger has reacted to the transfer which surprised much of the football world a few days ago, Oscar has signed for the Chinese side Shanghai SIPG in a £60 million deal and become one of the highest-paid players in the world.

Arsenal star player Alexis Sanchez, was also linked with a big money move to China before oscar agreed to sign for the Chinese club.

But the Frenchman has admitted he did not see the 25-year-old’s move to Asia coming.

“Yeah, it’s a surprise. It’s a distortion. When you’re a football player, you want to combine the quality of the competition with the quality of your wages – and the quantity.” the Arsenal managersaid

“It is a surprise to me, but I must say that when I was in Japan, they had many Brazilian players like Leonardo, Jorginho, Dunga. At the time they were big players and moved over there.

“The competition was well organised and was of top quality. I don’t really know well but at the moment I think Oscar moves because he doesn’t play in the Premier League.

“China gives him that opportunity, and as well they invest a lot of money at the moment to create a big force. Will it be a problem for the Premier League in the future? It could become one.”
