Bad News As Another Midfielder Set Miss The Arsenal vs Tottenham Clash On Sunday

While there are reports that thequartet of Cazorla, Monreal, Walcott and Bellerin who missed Arsenal’s clash in the Champions League on Tuesday against Ludogorets may be fit enough to play for the Gunners in the North London derby on Sunday, Tottenham have been dealt a big injury blow on their part.

Tottenham’s Belgian midfielder Moussa Dembele is reportedly a big doubt for Sunday’s derby clash. The Belgian twisted his ankle against Leverkusen in the 1-0 Champions league defeat yesterday. Manager Mauricio Pochettino was forced to sub off the Belgian in the first half of the game. Speaking after the match, Pochettino confirmed the likelihood of Dembele missing the North London derby is a big blow to his team.

“Mousa Dembele is an important player for us but it (his first-half injury) is not an excuse. He twisted his ankle and cannot continue in the game,” Pochettino told BBC.

“We need to improve and change some things. We are in a bad moment. After Manchester City we don’t win and we need to be critical and find answers.”

With Tottenham looking out of form since beating Manchester City in the league and now having to cope with injuries, Arsenal have a massive opportunity to get all the three maximum points on Sunday. The boys should be super motivated to finally put Tottenham in their place and end all the talks of them having an invincible season.

A win for us on Sunday will extend our unbeaten run to 16 in all competition. It will also be a big morale booster ahead of the international break and the important clash against Manchester United after the international break.

Hopefully our injured players  ( Cazorla, Monreal, Bellerin and Walcott ) will be fit to play the match on Sunday. It been a while we played Tottenham with a fully fit squad, hopefully this Sunday will be a change.
