Arsenal Injury Curse – Midfielder Ruled Out Till 2017 Months After Arsenal Transfer

Although Arsenal have not won the Premier league since 2004, but we have many times won the Premier league injury table. It is almost a normal thing for Arsenal to suffer an injury crisis in a season, what appears to be abnormal is if we don’t have injury crisis.

It however appears the injury curse is not only meant for current Arsenal players but as well as ex players. This is as news by the Express this afternoon claim former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Tosicky is set to spend the next three months on the injury table.

The Czech Republic international spent 10 years with Arsenal but most of those 10 years were blighted with one injury to the other. He was released at the end of his contract last June and he immediately rejoin his boyhood club Sparta Prague. Unfortunately the change of club hasn’t led to a change of fortunes injury wise for Rosicky

The fans of Sparta Prague have not been able to see the best of Rosicky due to one injury to the other and now he is set to miss another three months of action. Which means they probably won’t be able to see him in action until 2017.

Speaking on the situation, Sparta Prague’s manager was quoted as saying;

“It’s better not to talk about it,” Sparta interim manager David Holoubek said.

“Thomas is feeling wounded right now.

“He will train but only in the gym, preparing individually.

“In autumn you should probably not expect to see him.”

Rosicky has only seen 18 minutes of action ever since joining Sparta and is under contract at the club till 2018. Quite a big blow for the club but it is a pointer that Arsenal were right not to have renewed his contract.

Such a shame that Rosicky has to suffer so much injuries in his career. He was a fine player until injury problems started to ruin his career.
